about

This little EP is a collection of a few simple songs recorded over an afternoon (and into the evening) sometime in December 2010. There'd been a party the night before, so after we'd hauled all the empty wine bottles down to the curb I sat down on a rickety old chair and sang songs for a fairly hungover David Plank in his living room/studio "Chapter Two" (where I was living at the time).

For the most part the of the songs are unfinished (or since abandoned) and what you're hearing are the first or second takes, live off the floor as they came up. It's sharing some new songs with a friend, with his cat (Jack) napping at my feet, sniffling occasionally.

*About a dozen copies were burned, printed and given out as christmas presents to family and close friends I couldn't afford to do anything nicer for. It's now available only as a download.

Erik Bleich drew the sad hobo clown (as he did on 'it's coming down'). There was also a polar bear doing yoga in the inside cover and on the disc itself.

about

Erik Bleich Toronto, Ontario

Seeking to find a place between what can sometimes feel like opposing worlds, singer/songwriter Erik Bleich creates street-lit lullabies & manic, rambling romps that wander the side streets between rural isolation and metropolitan congestion.
